Although these early days of May are so cold to remember the Christmas holidays, summer is almost upon us and Xiaomi reminds us of this by presenting a new ceiling fan which gives a nod to design and compactness. Having already presented a fan with a classic design, here comes the innovative Xiaomi SS4!
The choice of Xiaomi to focus on design and on the reduction of dimensions appears evident. A fan without blades, on the other hand, is certainly the best choice for those trying not to ruin the aesthetics of their room or for those who don't have much space. Aesthetics, but also functionality as Xiaomi has always accustomed us to: the new Xiaomi SS4 in fact presents well 11 adjustments of speed, all selectable through theapp Mijia, compatible among other things also with the voice features (probably only in Chinese for the moment ...).
Xiaomi SS4 - column fan: how does it work?
Unlike the more classic fans that merely move the air from the back, this Xiaomi fan has an operating system capable of take the air from below, convey it through an upward motor and release it at high speed through the vertical column.
However, all these components require the system to function in a stable manner and this is why Xiaomi has thought of developing a mechanism of vertical stabilization both in static conditions and in dynamic conditions: in fact the Xiaomi SS4 can rotate but the use of a variable current DC motor guarantees a constant air flow compared to a energy consumption of 7W only.
However, we have mentioned the remote functions and therefore it is correct to say that the new Xiaomi SS4 also integrates Bluetooth functions, which can be easily used via your smartphone. Among the features "domotiche"Most interesting we certainly find the automatic shutdown mode during the night and the connection with other Xiaomi home devices: nothing will prevent us from setting the Xiaomi SS4 to switch on when a certain temperature or humidity percentage is measured using the sensor domestic Mijia.
The latest product from Mijia will be launched at the cost of 599 yuan (approximately EUR 75 at the gearbox) and weighs only 2.4 Kg! It would almost be the case to go and get it in person ... if it wasn't that it is currently available only in China.
