Xiaomi celebrated its fifteenth anniversary with the launch of the Xiaomi Watch S4 15th Anniversary Edition, a premium smartwatch that introduces the Xring T1 proprietary chip, designed internally by the company to improve performance and optimize energy consumption. The device is already available for purchase in China in Black and Green Flame colors, with a price of 1299 yuan (about 165 euros).

The Xring T1 marks a change in strategy for Xiaomi in the wearable sector, integrating a 4G modem and a video encoding module, with a maximum frequency of 500MHz. According to the company, the new chip improves app opening times by 13%, reduces standby power consumption by 66%, and lowers VoLTE and data power consumption by 46% and 27% respectively, ensuring greater efficiency and autonomy.
The Xiaomi Watch S4 15th Anniversary Edition features a AMOLED display from 1.43 inch, with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz, ensuring smooth and clear images. The brightness of 2200 nits makes it one of the most visible smartwatches in sunlight, while the protection is entrusted to the Dragon Crystal Glass.
The elegant design features a forged carbon bezel, with the“XRING INSIDE” engraving, and a box in aluminum alloy with PVD treatment, paired with a stainless steel frame. Xiaomi offers several strap options, including fluoro rubber and woven nylon fabric, ensuring comfort and durability.
The Watch S4 comes with 64MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, allowing for fluidity of use and good management of apps. It supports over 150 sports modes, including automatic workout detection, AI-guided running and the Pro Ski Mode 2.0, designed for winter sports.
From a health perspective, the device offers Heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress analysis, sleep monitoring, female health tracking, and cuff-free blood pressure estimation via the Xiaomi Health Research app.
The Watch S4 includes eSIM support for 4G calls and messages, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC for smart payments and access, and L1+L5 dual-band GPS, compatible with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou. Xiaomi has added support for walkie-talkie functionality, both via Bluetooth and mobile network, improving outdoor communication.
Autonomy is managed by a battery 486mAh, Which provides up to 9 days of use with active eSIM and up to 15 days in Bluetooth-only modeCharging occurs via a 2-pin magnetic system, allowing for rapid charging times.
The device is compatible with Xiaomi HyperOS 2, supporting Android 8.0 and iOS 12.0 or later, although some features, such as voice assistant and WeChat replies, are only available on Android.
Xiaomi has integrated the Watch S4 with the SU7 Intelligent Vehicle Control via the Xiaomi Auto App, allowing remote management, gesture controls and interaction with Mi Home, making it an ideal device for the Xiaomi ecosystem.
Additionally, the Watch S4 15th Anniversary Edition has a 5ATM resistance, making it suitable for swimming and shallow water activities.
