The Chinese colossus Xiaomi has released the new one Whole House Router BE3600 Pro Cable Version, an advanced home connectivity solution that aims to offer high speeds and uniform coverage thanks to its architecture based on primary and secondary routers. After a crowdfunding period, the device is now available for pre-sale in China, with a starting price of 1.599 yuan (about 205 euros).

The BE3600 Pro's design follows Xiaomi's typical minimalist style, making it suitable for users who have network cables pre-installed in the walls or who are planning to do so during a renovation. The configuration includes a main router, placed in the home's network panel, where the fiber optic modem and the various connection cables of each room converge. The sub-routers, on the other hand, are installed in key areas such as the bedroom, study and living room, ensuring wide signal coverage.
For installation, a flush-mounted network box is required, while the system can be mounted with adhesives or clips, with the advantage of PoE support, allowing the main router to provide power and connection to the secondary ones via network cable, eliminating the need for an additional electrical socket.
Performance-wise, the BE3600 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm quad-core processor, flanked by 512MB of memory in the main router and 256MB in the sub-routers, ensuring smooth management of network traffic. The device supports the protocol Wi-Fi 7, having a Maximum speed of 2.882Mbps on the 5GHz band and 688Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, optimizing data transmission for streaming, online gaming and smart device use.
