Xiaomi Wiha Electric Screwdriver now in crowdfunding at 199 Yuan (25 €)
The Xiaomi Wiha Electric Screwdriver is the last screwdriver of the Wiha brand that is added to the set of tools launched previously as the 23 precision screwdriver in 1 and Wiha 8-in-1 created in collaboration with Mijia. The Electric Screwdriver differs from the others precisely because, as the name suggests, it is an electric and not manual screwdriver.
The product was created thanks to the expertise of the German brand Willi Hahn GmbH, a brand with a history of over 80 years in the production of work tools.
The Wiha Electric Screwdriver adopts an ergonomic "8" shape that should facilitate the positioning of the fingers in the lower part, with the thumb on top that will instead operate the motor. It is therefore easier to hold the screwdriver tight and avoid letting it escape, wasting time and energy. As for the power, on the other hand, we can reach 0,4Nm of torque in mode 1, while in the second mode we reach 1nM of torque.
Xiaomi also notes that depending on the mode set, it is recommended to use a different tip, so if we use it at 0,4Nm the tips with a green ring should be used, if instead we go to the maximum power (1Nm) the ones with the ring should be used Orange.
Obviously, once the screw is screwed and the 1Nm value is exceeded, the motor will be switched off to avoid stripping the screws, but you can still do it manually if you want.
Then there are two LED lights on the front so that the object to be disassembled can be illuminated, these are very useful if you work in the evening or in any case with insufficient lighting. While regarding the tip of the screwdriver, we have an extension of 105mm to get to unscrew or screw even in the deepest points. Obviously, as has now become the norm, both the tips and the extension have magnetic parts so as to minimize the fall of the screws.
From the battery point of view, we find a high-performance 18650 type with a capacity of 1500mAh. The battery is able to support 1,5 hours of work without rest, or about 120 screws (unscrewed or screwed) with a full charge. Moreover, many will appreciate the fact that we have a reversible USB Type-C port to recharge the screwdriver.
The Xiaomi Wiha Electric Screwdriver is now on sale in China at the 199 Yuan figure, or about 25 € at the exchange rate. We remember as always that these are prices on the Chinese territory, once imported the price will go up.
