Xiaomi is more active than ever in the last few months. After presenting the Xiaomi Black Shark and the Mi MIX 3 just three weeks ago, the company would already be thinking about releasing another terminal. But do not worry, if you were planning to buy a top of the Xiaomi range, this coming smartphone will not change your mind, we're talking about a new Youth Edition version.
Given the limited information online, it is still not clear what smartphone you are talking about. Some say it may be a Lite version of the Mi MIX 3, which brings to mind that Mi Note 4 seen in some rumors and then disappeared into thin air. Others instead suggest that it could be a simple Mi 8 Youth Edition in new memory configurations (RAM and storage) or new colors. The image you can see on the cover is all we know so far.

Obviously, we hope to be presented with the Mi Note 4, which like the predecessor (the Mi Note 3), could come with a processor less performing than the top of the range supplied with Snapdragon 845, so we are very likely talking about a Snapdragon 710. This, theoretically, would make it a Lite version of the Mi MIX 3, provided that it adopts the same identical design or at least something very similar.
As for the other thesis, that of a new version of the Mi 8 Lite, this is also achievable but perhaps less likely given that we already have different colors on the market and with amounts of RAM ranging from 4GB to 6GB and internal memory from 64GB to 128GB. Having a terminal with 8GB of RAM or 256GB of internal memory coupled with a mid-range processor such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 would tarnish a bit.
