Xiaomi has just announced the existence of two new speakers coming in the next few days, the Xiaomi Xiaoai Universal Remote Speaker and the Xiaoai Play Speaker, which are added to the others already available in the Xiaoai series. The speakers differ both in color: black and white, and in the internal features.
In particular, the speaker in black color, which goes by the name of Xiaomi Xiaoai Universal Remote Speaker, will be able to control more than 5 thousand devices. The black speaker will go on sale at 12 June at 10 in the morning (Chinese time). Although the case is already on the official Xiaomi website, the price has not yet been revealed.

As for the speaker in white instead, this is also known with the name of "Xiaoai Speaker Play", a case with artificial intelligence and a better sound quality. The date of the beginning of sales of the speaker in white color has not yet been revealed.
Returning to the black speaker, of which we know more details. According to the info available online the device would have an infrared emitter to control more than 5 thousand devices, including televisions, air conditioners, TV boxes and other household appliances.
The infrared system uses 441 well high power and amplitude emitters to be able to obtain 360 degree coverage. The maximum control distance with IR beams is 10 meters, which should be enough for any type of room. The speaker is able to "learn" different functions and there is support for both WiFi and Bluetooth.
Through Bluetooth technology and the integrated gateway it is then possible to connect other smart devices directly to the speaker, such as humidity sensors, thermometers and more, so as to be able to adjust the air conditioning temperature accordingly.
Thanks to this smart speaker it will also be possible to stop using the TV remote control. The case, thanks to the artificial intelligence assistant, can even change the TV channel. So, for example, if we say "hey, change channel to La7", the speaker, through the IR emitter will be able to change channel to the desired one. This feature will only work in China of course, unless Xiaomi decides to sell it officially in Italy.
As for the audio side, thanks to an innovative design cavity it is possible to obtain a full and delicate sound at the same time. There is an external part in ferrite and a cone structure to be able to distribute the sound at 360 degrees. Finally there are independent chambers created through an ultrasonic welding for a watertight seal and a constant sound.
As we said earlier, both speakers are not yet for sale so we don't know the final price.
