The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China has officially certified the new Xiaomi YU7, revealing interesting details about its autonomy, design and performance. With a 96,3 kWh battery and three autonomy variants (770 km, 760 km and 675 km), this electric SUV is set to become an intriguing alternative in the premium market.
Xiaomi tries again: here is the electric SUV that focuses on style and power
From the first images, the Xiaomi YU7 aligns itself with the stylistic language of the house, taking many elements from the SU7 sedanThe front shows off the characteristic “drop” headlights, while the front bumper maintains a design consistent with the other model of the company.
From the side, the SUV shows an aerodynamic profile with semi-hidden handles, frameless exterior mirrors and five-spoke wheels with yellow brake calipers, a clear sign of a sporty inspiration. The dimensions speak of a large vehicle: 4.999 mm long, 1.996 mm wide e 1.608 mm in height, with a step of 3.000 mm, ensuring space and stability on the road.
Even the rear does not betray the style of the house: the small “duck tail” spoiler and the LED “halo” headlights recall the sportiness of the SU7. An interesting detail is the presence of a LiDAR sensor on the roof, although versions without this element are planned, suggesting possible Self-driving variants based exclusively on cameras.

The interior of the Xiaomi YU7 gives up the classic dashboard and introduces a gigantic ultra-wide screen, a bold choice that aims to revolutionize the interaction between the driver and on-board technology. This display provides essential information such as range, speed, navigation and multimedia.
According to the ministry's information, Xiaomi YU7 will be available in several electrical configurations:
- High-performance dual-motor: all-wheel drive with 220 kW front engine and 288 kW rear engine, for a combined power of 508 kW (691 hp) and a maximum speed of 253 km/h;
- less powerful dual-motor: engines from 130 kW at the front and 235 kW at the rear, For a total of 365 kW;
- single engine: rear wheel drive with a 1.6-litre engine 235 kW, maximum speed of 240 km/h, powered by a lithium iron phosphate battery.
For those looking for even more autonomy, Xiaomi has also unveiled a version with 101,7 kWh battery, with three route options: 670km, 750km and 760km.
