During the press conference of Xiaomi, Lei Jun officially introduced the Xiaomi YU7, the company's second automotive model after the SU7. This new luxury and high-performance SUV aims to redefine the standards of the segment, combining a sporty design with advanced technologies and high-level mechanics.
Xiaomi YU7 Officially Launched: Here Are All the Details

The YU7 stands out for its SUV coupe style, completely redesigned compared to the SU7, simply avoiding an increased height of the previous model. The vehicle is positioned as a medium and large SUV, respecting the 532 standards, with a length of 4999mm, width of 1996mm, height of 1600mm and a wheelbase of 3000mm.
The design is based on balanced proportions with a 3x wheel-to-axle ratio, 2.1x wheel height, 1.25x aspect ratio and 275mm wide rear tyres, ensuring a muscular and sporty presence.

Among the distinctive elements we find hollow water drop headlights, a unique light signature with integrated air ducts, electric inward-folding handles, and a high-level aerodynamic system. The YU7 is the only one in its class to include 10 cross air ducts, 19 air intakes and over 40 aerodynamic optimizations, reaching a drag coefficient of just 0.245, one of the best for an SUV.
The YU7 is available in three interior colors, and introduces for the first time the Xiaomi Dimensity screen panoramic display, 1.1 meter panel with 108PPD super retina HD resolution. Thanks to the curved panoramic projection technology, key information can be viewed without having to look down, improving driving safety.

To ensure a luxurious experience, the entire cabin is lined with 100% soft-touch materials, while the seats are entirely in Nappa leather, designed to offer comfort and optimal ergonomic support.
In terms of convenience, the YU7 features two zero gravity seats in the front, which support the one-touch recline function, while the rear row offers electric seats that can be adjusted up to 135°, ensuring comfort similar to that of a luxury car.

The YU7 also excels in interior space, with a total volume of 1970 liters, ideal for multi-scenario travel and transportation. Among the most striking details is the 141-litre front boot, and the hood supports multiple opening methods, including voice commands, external buttons, and smartphone sensing. The YU7 also boasts the largest aluminum hood ever seen in a mass-production car, with an area of 3,11 square meters.
The Xiaomi YU7 is a high-performance SUV, with a dual-engine four-wheel drive version, that offers 690 horsepower and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds, with a top speed of 253 km/h.

To put these numbers into perspective, the Tesla Model Y Performance Edition takes 3.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, while the Macan Electric Turbo reaches this speed in 3.3 seconds, demonstrating the YU7's high competitiveness in the SUV segment.
The credit for these extraordinary performances goes to the Xiaomi Super Motor V6S PLUS, with segmented magnetic technology and voltage overmodulation, which allows you to achieve 22.000 rpm maximum speed, 528Nm peak torque and 288kW peak power.

In addition to its top-level performance, the YU7 offers a premium chassis setup, with continuously variable damping suspension that balances comfort and sportiness. The car mounts closed double chamber air springs, with five levels of height adjustment and a maximum range of 75mm, with a maximum ground clearance of 222mm.
This technology allows for dynamic adjustment of the suspension stiffness, offering a comfortable ride without compromising road feel.

Lei Jun has confirmed that the Xiaomi YU7 will be available in three configurations: a single-motor rear-wheel drive version, a dual-motor four-wheel drive, and a high-performance dual-motor four-wheel drive.
Although the price of the Xiaomi YU7 was not announced during the conference, Lei Jun clearly responded to users' speculations about a starting price of 199.000 yuan (about 25.500 USD), saying that such a figure is impossible. According to the Xiaomi president, the YU7 is comparable to the Tesla Model Y in terms of configuration, and considering the market and product positioning, the price will be around 300.000 yuan. He also pointed out that The YU7 will not be sold for less than 300.000 yuan (about 38.500 euros). inviting those who were hoping to buy it for 199.000 yuan to give up, completely dashing the expectations of some consumers regarding a more affordable price.
