Training, when you don't feel like it, can become really difficult an impossible task, especially if we talk about cardio, or running, bike, swimming and similar activities. Well today Xiaomi has presented a new product quite interesting that could make many of us want to "play" like when we were kids.
As you may have already understood from the title we are indeed talking about a new smart skipping rope, the Xiaomi Yunmai Smart Skipping Rope, now on sale on the official website of the technology giant at the 129 Yuan (price in China, 16 € at the exchange rate) .
Xiaomi Yunmai Smart Skipping Rope, comes the smart jump rope
The Yunmai Smart Skipping Rope has, of course, an ergonomic design to avoid getting out of our hands in the most frantic moments, with a soft rubber cover to improve comfort and absorb sweat, and a display to show all the necessary info . While inside we find professional-grade steel bearings with a life of 10 thousand revolutions that allows the rope of 3 meters to be turned (adjustable) easily without slowing down and reach higher rotation speeds (for those who are able).
Moving on to the smart side instead, Yunmai's skipping rope adopts a high-precision sensor and a CC2541 Bluetooth chip. This system is able to monitor the movement of the handles and therefore perfectly calculate the number of rotations performed and other data. Afterwards, once connected to the smartphone through the high-speed Bluetooth 4.0 connection, the data will be loaded and automatically synchronized to the cloud, on the app we will then be able to see the rotation speed and the total number, as well as info like the duration of the training and calories burned.
Then there are several preset programs that will allow us to train with goals and be alerted to achieving them with vibrations.
Finally, from the standpoint of autonomy, the Xiaomi Yunmai Smart Skipping Rope can work for 150 days with a single charge of about two hours.
The Yunmai Smart Skipping Rope seems a good compromise between the "game" and the sport that could bring back to train a lot of people, especially now that with the smart side you can keep track of your progress. Which of you think to try it in the future? Let us know in the comments section below!
We close with a little curiosity: 10 minutes of skipping are equivalent to approximately 30 minutes of running, so you can also save time!
esto no sirve para españa y ni siquiera para ifhone, es una penalty la verdad, but not worth
I haven't been able to pair it with the app ... it asks for activation via SMS which never arrives
what's the app called?
I don't know, it's all in Chinese
Kannst du einen Screenshot anfügen oder die Chinese Zeichen rüberkopieren? Suche nämlich verzweifelt nach der App.
