The famous Xiaomi sub-brand, Yunmi, has today presented what we believe is one of the most interesting gadgets of the last few months. Let's talk about the Yunmi Travel Electric Cup, from today in a crowdfunding campaign on the website of the Chinese giant Xiaomi Youpin and in presale at the 99 Yuan figure.
Xiaomi Yunmi Travel Electric Cup, comes the thermos with kettle function
The Xiaomi Yunmi Travel Electric Cup is nothing but a thermos with a very minimal but at the same time modern design, which has the additional functionality of being able to be used as a kettle. The product is quite light with a weight of 0,5kg and compact, so that it can easily enter bags, backpacks or suitcases.
The lower part of the thermos has also been designed specifically to hide the power cable which can therefore only be extracted when we need it. The rest of the time will remain inside the device without worsening the look or being left somewhere inadvertently.
The thermos has a capacity of 400ml, so not one of the highest but enough to carry around the equivalent of a medium-sized drink from McDonald's (or other fast food).
The Xiaomi Yunmi Travel Electric Cup is made of SUS304 stainless steel that meets the requirements for food grade materials GB 4806, with the advantage of not rusting easily, facilitated cleaning and no plastic smell. We also have a vacuum between the outer body of the thermos and the internal steel body, this to provide greater insulation and eliminate burns. So it will be safe to handle the thermos even after boiling the water, removing the power cord and having around 3 hours of hot drink secured.
There is a touch switch with high sensitivity touch that after being pressed once will start the "boiling" mode to have boiling water in about 6-8 minutes. If instead we press the button twice we activate the "isolation" mode, to keep the drink at a constant temperature of 50 ° C, especially useful if we need this temperature to prepare powdered milk. Furthermore, once switched on, the thermos can maintain the temperature for around 12 hours, with a power of use of approximately 300W.
Finally, there are the obvious safety measures to avoid overheating, thanks to a hidden internal thermometer that can tell if there is no water inside the thermos, turning it off immediately.
