The king of Chinese technology, Xiaomi, has just announced a new, very interesting and economical accessory for our homes, we talk about the Xiaomi Zero Smart Doorbell.
The Zero Smart Doorbell is an intelligent bell that can understand if there are people in front of the door and automatically activate the various sensors on board. One of them uses PIR technology, in practice an infrared sensor that can perceive the presence of human being, while the other is an image sensor that will take photos and record video of anyone in front of it.

This video doorbell can indeed detect movements and start a small video recording if there is someone less than three meters from the door, this video is then sent to the hosts who can watch it in the application. As if that weren't enough, the Zero Smart Doorbell also supports Xiaomi's face recognition technology thanks to artificial intelligence, it will therefore be able to recognize family members previously registered by reporting their names in a notification, or warn you of the presence of strangers by putting them in a separate category; nobody gets away with it!
Another very special feature is that which allows the bell to interact with the Xiao AI Speaker (the Google Home / Amazon Alexa Chinese). This cooperation is useful in those cases where we have a child alone inside the house and we do not want to open the door to strangers. The doorbell will send the notification to the landlord who will check who he is and then decide whether to send a voice message to the Xiao AI Speaker, telling the child not to let anyone in.
In addition, the bell can be used as a normal intercom and at the click of a button change your voice, this function can be useful to girls who are alone in the house, with their voice that will be modified to look like a man.
Finally, the autonomy of the Xiaomi doorbell video can reach up to 6 months thanks to the FastWake technology that makes it activate and deactivate instantly when needed.
Xiaomi Zero Smart Doorbell is now in the crowdfunding campaign in China at the price of 199 Yuan (25 €) only doorbell and 229 Yuan (29 €) with additional receiver / speaker.
