Redmi, the well-known brand of cheap smartphones from Xiaomi, is preparing to launch a new series of high-end devices, the Redmi K70. Among the various models envisaged, there is also the Redmi K70e, which will be positioned as the cheapest in the range, but which will not give up high-level performance and features. According to leaker Anvin, the Redmi K70e will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, an octa-core SoC with a maximum frequency of 2,6 GHz and a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It is a latest generation chip, which supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band GPS. The processor will be supported by a 8 GB RAM memory and 128 or 256 GB internal memory, expandable via microSD.
The display of the Redmi K70e will be a OLED panel and with a 1.5K resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and almost certainly a 120 Hz refresh rate. There battery of the Redmi K70e will be one of its most impressive features, since it will have a capacity of 5500 mAh and will support the 90W fast charging.
As for the other specifications, according to previous leaks the smartphone will have a central hole to accommodate the front 32 megapixel camera, with f/2.0 aperture. On the back, however, we will find three cameras, with a main sensor from 64 megapixel, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor.
The Redmi K70e will be the most accessible model of the Redmi K70 series, which will also include the Redmi K70 and the Redmi K70 Pro. These two models will be equipped with the processors Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, respectively, and will have 2K resolution displays and 120W fast charging. The Redmi K70 series is expected to be unveiled in China by the end of this month.
