We have from poco witnessed the release of two new devices of the Indian wing of Xiaomi, that is Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. Between criticisms for the launch too close by its predecessor and criticisms for the inadequacy of components such as processor and camera, it went unnoticed by someone who only two smartphones are brought by the brand. In fact it seemed a bit strange that a standard, basic version didn't come out. We have confirmation from the channel Official Twitter of Xiaomi Malaysia instead a third member is expected to be launched to expand the family: Redmi Note 9S. But what will be the change compared to the two already released?
There will be a third smartphone to expand the family of the latest Notes: Redmi Note 9S. What awaits us?
It is not the first time that Xiaomi or Redmi officially communicate something not going through the "global channel", but using one of the many branches around the world. This time it was up to Xiaomi Malaysia to formalize the coming of Redmi Notes 9S.
The wait is over, and we are excited to announce:

It goes without saying that leaks regarding this new device will begin starting tomorrow. At the moment it is not clear if it is one ultra low cost version, rather than one version with MediaTek processor. In fact, Redmi is not new to these variants, even if the last time it opted for the SoC of the Taiwanese company on the top of the range of the Note 8 series, or the Notes redmi 8 Pro. Basically when a smartphone comes out with the letter "S" in the name, it refers to one castrated and less powerful version and therefore it is easy to think that it is a less performing device. What is certain is that will keep the four cameras housed in the square patch and which will be released on March 23 next.
Some corridor rumors speak of a rebranding by Redmi Note 9 Pro. According to these, in fact, the Redmi Note 9S will only be a Note 9 Pro with a different name, perhaps destined for other markets.
[UPDATE]
New evidence confirms that the front camera will also be indifferent. The idea of a rebranding becomes more concrete.
