A couple of weeks ago the iQOO brand presented the new one Article 7 in China. It is the second smartphone in the world to adopt the Snapdragon 888 chipset and has already had a huge success in the Asian country, allowing the brand to gross over 200 million yen, about 25 million euros.
That said, although the flagship packs some major improvements over the previous series, the battery capacity has remained unchanged from that of its predecessor, the iQOO 5 Pro. The iQOO 7 comes with the same 4000mAh battery even though has an even larger display than the iQOO 5 Pro.
Today, to try to make us forget about this lack, a new leak regarding the successor of the iQOO 7 just presented has been leaked. Not surprisingly, this leak reveals that the iQOO 9 will come with a larger battery.
According to Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station has in fact stated that the smartphone will adopt a new dual-cell battery already in production. Each of the cells has a capacity of 2155mAh while their combined nominal capacity is 4310mAh. So it is supposed to say that the typical combined capacity is around 4400mAh, which is the same battery capacity inside the iQOO 3.
Also, being a dual cell battery (the one the manufacturers use for devices with extremely fast charging), we expect the iQOO 9 to also support 120W fast charging just like the iQOO 7 and iQOO 5 Pro.
As for the launch date, the smartphone shouldn't arrive before the second half of the year.
