Lenovo ThinkBook Plus 2 and ThinkBook 13x presented in China

After presenting the world's first tablet powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro, the Chinese technology giant Lenovo has launched two very interesting new laptops: the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x and the ThinkBook Plus 2.

Let's start with the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x which was actually already first unveiled at CES 2021. The laptop comes with a 13,3-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA, 2,5K), Dolby Vision, 400 nit peak brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, DC Dimming and anti-reflective coating. The display is also a 10-point touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90% screen-to-body ratio is TÜV Rheinland and Eyesafe Display certified for low blue light output.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is powered by 5th generation Intel Core i1130-7G7 or i1160-7G4 CPU, accompanied by dual-channel 4266GB LPDDR16x-512 RAM and 1GB PCIe SSD. It is also possible to increase the SSD capacity up to XNUMX TB and it is Intel Evo Platform certified with Intel Iris Xe GPU.

The netbook adopts an anodized aluminum unibody design with a two-tone finish. It measures approximately 12,9mm thick and weighs approximately 1,13kg. It comes with a 180 ° hinge, a full-size backlit keyboard with no numeric keypad, and a one-piece precision touchpad.

Other specs on board the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x include an HD webcam with ThinkShutter, 2 Harman Kardon 2W (4W) speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, 4 microphones, fingerprint sensor, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x Thunderbolt 4 , 1 combo 3,5mm microphone / audio jack, MIL-STD-810H certified, Microsoft Windows 10, 53 Wh battery and 65W fast charging. The laptop will be available in two colors: silver and dark gray.

As for the prices, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x will retail in China at 6999 yuan (900 euros) for the version with Intel Core i5-1130G7, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD memory; and 7799 yuan (100 euros) for the variant with Intel Core i7-1160G7, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD internal memory. The product is currently available in China for pre-order until June 18. Shipments will begin on June 19th.

Let's now move on to the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus 2 which sees the ThinkBook line, traditionally aimed at office work, expanding to please content creators and others who demand extra performance from their laptops.

The ThinkBook Plus 2 is indeed a thin and light laptop created for individuals in the creative field. The new notebook features a 12-inch E Ink display panel on the back, which offers a paper-like viewing experience that makes it suitable for long hours of use. While the main screen is a 13,3-inch LED panel with a resolution of 2,5K (2560 x 1600 pixels)

The product offers touch and stylus support and can also be flipped over for use as a tablet. The device even has support for wireless charging, weighs just 1,16kg and is just 13,9mm thick.

Lenovo's laptop is powered by two Intel chips ranging from an i5 to an i7 processor depending on the configuration chosen. The processor is then paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. The laptop runs on the Windows 10 operating system and offers Intel Iris integrated graphics.

Other specs include a 53Whr battery and supports 65W power, there is a microphone / headphone port and 2 Thunderbolt 4.0 type ports.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus 2 from Lenovo will be available for purchase in China in the next few days and will have a price of 8999 Yuan, about 1150 euros, for the version with Intel Core i5-1130G7 CPU, 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD internal memory. . While the variant with Intel Core i7-1160G7 will cost 9999 yuan, about 1300 euros at the exchange rate.
