Meizu enters the smart furniture sector with IoT and AIoT

Though Meizu it is not officially present in Europe with stores and direct purchase channels, it must be remembered that in China it is one of the largest and most important companies for telephony. Its strong point is the quality rather than quantity. To justify this, only one top-of-the-range smartphone launched in 2020. In the last period we have learned how it is focusing on improving the FlymeOS, the personalized interface of its mobile devices, but that's not the only novelty. It seems that it has also entered the world of smart furniture. But not like IKEA.

Meizu is making its way into the world of technology at a slow pace: it officially enters the world of the Internet of Things

Il National Knowledge and Industry Rights Bureau (SIPO) and the China Compulsory Certification (3C) revealed that Meizu is looking to enter the above industry. How? Certifications have appeared that suggest just that. Inside the "618 Seed Grass Tournament”Held in June this year, the company had announced its intention to enter the IoT sector but we imagined with products such as speakers, soundbars and so on. Instead it seems that the goal is to enter right into the homes of users.

According to what emerged from the certifications, the brand LIPRO (with this name it should go out on the market) refers to different product categories but all referring to the sphere of the smart home. The first product that the company should launch is called LED downlight: it is clearly a device dedicated to lighting, probably one bulb with intelligent features such as voice commands etc. This product was revealed by the 3C certification.

In short, a big step for the Chinese company. It is hoped that with this the brand will also be able to definitively enter the European market. Passing smartphones is one thing, but this kind of devices are more easily "certifiable" by us.
