OnePlus Nord N100 receives Android 11

The Chinese house had promised a single major update for its OnePlus Nord N100. And finally it has arrived: it is about Android 11, but the news are not only these. Let's find out more info in the next lines.

OnePlus Nord N100: not only Android 11, all the news

Let's start with the introductions that this update brings with it. First of all, the security patches, or those dated June 2021. Furthermore, here is therenewed interface, the shortcut to Dark Mode, i changes for the Camera app and all the various optimizations that the major update integrates.

And then of course here is Android 11 and OxygenOS 11, currently being released via OTA, both in the US and in Europe. Below is the official update changelog:

Updated to OxygenOS 11 version
Fresh new visual UI design brings you more comfortable experience with various detail optimizations
Since this is a big Android update with multiple new features, the update process may take a little longer, please be more patient.
Updated the Android security patch to 2021.06
Google GMS updated to 2021.04

Ambient display

Recently added the Insight watch style, a joint creation with the Parsons School of Design. It will change according to your phone usage data (To set: Settings> Personalization> Ambient Display Clock)
Added Canvas feature which can automatically draw a wireframe image based on a phone lock screen photo (path): Settings - Personalization - Wallpaper - Canvas - Choose photo preview, and can be generated automatically.

Play space

New game toolbox added for convenient Fnatic mode switches. You can now choose three notification modes: heads up text only and block just for your immersive gaming experience
New Quick Reply feature added in a small window for WhatsApp and INS (Enable it by swiping down from the top left / right corners of the screen in game mode)
New touch error prevention function added. Enable it, swipe down from the top of the screen, click and the notification bar will open

Dark mode

Added a shortcut for Dark Mode, you can pull down the quick settings panel and find it
Auto enable by time interval supported (Path: Settings - Display - Dark Mode - Auto on - Auto on from sunset to sunrise / Custom time interval)
