At MWC 2022, Oppo presented its new product: the compact Oppo 5G CPE T2 router with support for fifth generation mobile networks. Its features are its small size, an advanced set of antennas and the ability to upgrade the modem without having to buy a new device. The device consists of a compact vertical tower, which takes up minimal space while providing a reliable Wi-Fi coverage in the apartment or office.
The router relies on the modem Snapdragon X62 5G. Thanks to the joint efforts of Oppo and Qualcomm engineers, the platform has become 20% more productive than the first version. You can also manage your network settings via a handy mobile application. To increase the range of the network signal, the design of the router uses a proprietary antenna Oppo 5G O-Reserve 2.0. This monitors the signals received by the eight antennas and selects four to form the downlink path. This helps keep the antenna high in all directions.
The device is able to "distribute" mobile Internet (5G or 4G) not only via Wi-Fi, but also via cable LAN. It is also possible to connect to a broadband cable network as an alternative to the mobile network signal. Another feature of the Oppo 5G CPE T2 is the special convection cooling system which allows you to maintain high heat dissipation efficiency with a small radiator.
The device supports SA networks e NSA 5G, it is compatible with most 5G / 4G bands. In addition, the globalized radio frequency interface (RFFE) design ensures compatibility with equipment from almost any carrier. The hardware architecture of the novelty also allows the replacement of the Snapdragon X62 modem with the Snapdragon X65 for a later upgrade. The supported frequencies are:
