This afternoon the mark POCO officially announced that the new POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro will be released May 9th.
POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro have an official presentation date
Earlier, Snapdragon India officially confirmed that the POCO F5 will be equipped with the new chip Snapdragon 7+ Gen2, making it the first smartphone in India to be equipped with this chip.
Today, always Poco India showed the design of the next POCO F5, confirming that the device will be equipped with three rear cameras.
As for performance, according to Qualcomm, compared to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, the new one Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 it will bring 50% overall performance improvement, 13% power efficiency improvement, and 2x AI performance improvement.
As for the other specifications, these will be very similar to those of the Redmi Notes 12 Turbo launched in China earlier this month, and is expected to be a differently named version of the same product.
In particular the POCO F5 should be equipped with a 5000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and run on the MIUI 14 system based on Android 13; other specifications should include one 6,67-inch AMOLED screen and a 64MP main rear camera.
The older brother however, the POCO F5 Pro should be equipped with the high-end chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 by Qualcomm, as well as a combination of LPDDR5 type RAM memory and UFS 3.1 type internal memory. The POCO F5 Pro will then go to use one AMOLED-type screen with QHD+ resolution, a diagonal of 6,67 inches and with a refresh rate of 120Hz. On the screen we will also find a hole in the upper center for the front camera. In terms of autonomy and recharging, the F5 Pro by POCO should come with one built-in 5500mAh battery and support 67W fast charging
