Redmi K40 Ultra: the launch is near

The new top of the range of the Xiaomi sub brand should be Redmi K40 Ultra, which - according to the latest rumors - will be the direct competitor of the next OnePlus Nord 2. Let's find out more details on the possible technical specifications and on the launch of the device.

Redmi K40 Ultra: the rival of OnePlus Nord 2

Another device in the pipeline: Xiaomi never stops, and is ready to launch a mid-range that can throw the gauntlet to OnePlus and its North 2. And it will do so with Redmi K40 Ultra, which according to rumors will mount the processor MediaTek Dimensity 1200. According to the Xiaomiui portal, the device in question could have the code name agata / umbra.

According to other sources (more precisely the well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station), Redmi would have put in the viewfinder the launch of a smartphone with a 120 Hz display, 64 MP main camera, 5000 mAh battery and 67 W fast charging. it would be close to global debut. According to the tipster, this device will have the chipset MediaTek MT689x (i.e., own MediaTek Dimensity 1200).

Basically, the two sources could refer to the same smartphone. But there are still no certainties. The only thing that can be unbalanced is that Redmi K40 Ultra could be launched in the second half of 2021. But will it also arrive here in Europe? And in case it will have the same name? Difficult to say: Xiaomi in recent times has preferred to confine some devices to the Chinese market only, including My Mix Fold. The latter, however, could arrive with a bit of delay even here with us. Xiaomi's policy is also to turn on the wait in extra-national markets.

Like any Xiaomi smartphone, while waiting for official communications it will be necessary to take a look at new codes, certifications, various rumors and any and indiscretions of tipster and leakster. Therefore, we are also waiting for updates.
