This morning the sub brand of XiaomiRedmi has launched a new member of the Note 12 series; we welcome the Redmi Note 12R Pro. The new device goes on sale in China at 10:00 am on April 29.
Redmi Note 12R Pro announced: Snapdragon 4 Gen1 processor and 120Hz OLED screen
Let's start with the design of the Note 12R Pro, which is basically the same as the Note 12, with a trendy small vertical border and a boxy rear camera module that houses two lenses inside, of which the main camera has a resolution of 48MP.
As for performance, it has been reported that the Note 12R Pro will be equipped with the first generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 processor. This chip adopts TSMC's 6nm manufacturing process and consists of two A78 cores with a main frequency of 2,0GHz and six A55 cores. His Antutu score is around 380000 points. The chip also supports 5G networks and can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro then comes with one flat screen with Samsung OLED panel, supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and passed SGS low blue light certification.
Furthermore, the Note 12R Pro is expected to inherit the cinematic camera mode of the Note 12, perform digital modeling based on real film sampling, bring real-time pixel-level computing and real-time generation of particles and vignetting, so as to simulate the texture of film cameras with the smartphone. At the same time, the new device will support 5 film styles, including legendary films for documentaries, cinematic films for stories, HP black and white films for humanities, daytime films for portraits, and classic color negative films for street scenes.
In terms of price, given that the Redmi Note 12 is on sale in China for a starting price of 1199 yuan (156 euros), we expect a very similar price for the Note 12R Pro.
