It couldn't be missed for this beginning of the week, a gadget that is nothing short of innovative and that as always has debuted on the digital showcases of Xiaomi Youpin, the crowdfunding platform of the Chinese brand. Today we talk about a practical knife block that can dry and sterilize the cutlery inserted inside it, all in a smart way, considering the support for the Xiaomi Home smartphone application.
In detail, we are faced with a gadget that apparently takes the form of a classic kitchen knife holder, in which to also place two practical cutting boards, all made by the FIVE brand with dimensions of 395 x 132,6 x 231,3 mm , with the usual milky white color that distinguishes almost all the brand's products.
And given the need to use cutting boards, in which bacteria could lurk in the grooves of the surface on the cutters, here is the genius, or the possibility of sterilizing them once inserted in their seat.
The block for smart knives lands on Xiaomi Youpin: it dries and sterilizes
In the upper part of the block we find different fetioie in which to insert knives, cutting boards and chopsticks, a set of cutlery already supplied, but there is also a convenient button that will activate the drying and sterilization function. A 360º heat generation system is used for drying, capable of reaching 70 degrees Celsius. This, in turn, allows the sterilization of cutlery and knives, making them free of bacteria and germs. In addition, in the lower part there is a practical tray in which to collect the water.
But the gem happens with the compatibility with the Mi Home application, which allows you to manage the functions associated with the smart knife block from our smartphone.
At the moment the sales are exclusive to China, with a price list of 309 yuan, equal to about 39 euros at the exchange rate, but we do not exclude the possibility of seeing it also taken on third-party stores such as AliExpress.
