Teardown
And finally we come to the real argument of this article. Let's first see how to disassemble it, after which we will briefly discuss what was discovered after disassembly.
Turn off the phone and raise the back cover by helping with a suffocating banal, the cover will come off with simple thicknesses that will allow you to unlock the fastening clips.
The fingerprint sensor, located at the back, as you see, is connected to the motherboard via a flat cable. Removed the 10 screws from the deflector, we can lift it by noticing how the flash and some contacts are housed on it: this deflector acts as a radio antenna.
By disconnecting the fingerprint contacts, we can then remove the back cover. We will notice how the NFC module is integrated in the same and that in the middle there is an insulator bonded with thermal paste.
Let's go to the components. The assembly process takes place on three levels (motherboard - battery - plate) without any imperfection: all the components seem to be hooked ad hoc.
Unplugged connectors from the motherboard, we can proceed with the removal of screws from the same to be able to lift it and notice how it is coated with metal.
Moving to the bottom, proceed with the removal of the 7 screws that hold the coaxial depth depth tab.
When the last contact is disconnected, you can proceed with the removal of the dedicated Type-C connector and the microphone: as you will notice, the Type-C connector is integrated with this component and will therefore need to be completely replaced in case of a failure.
We can now raise the battery that we will notice to be from 3300 mAh (MAX 3400 mAh) made by SCUD Electronics.
We will thus remain with the front cover and the display glued to it, as it was already on other Xiaomi devices. In the event of a failure, it is certainly easier to replace the workpiece than to disconnect the display from the front panel.

The masquerade of the display and the introduction of a metal frame in lieu of the Mi MIX ceramic frame will surely make the production easier and of course reduce production costs, which inevitably leads to a reduction in the purchase price from part of the users.
We can really say that then. Mi MIX 2 is a Mi MIX definitely mature.
