The sacrifice of Huawei which saw the division from the sub-brand Honor seems to have paid off for the latter company. The smartphones of the brand, starting from the Honor 50 series, will come once again with Google apps and services. Among other things, the latter device was seen live in one super nice coloring in recent days. The official information comes from the company's German Twitter account, which replied to a user just to the question relating to Google services.
After months of waiting, confirmation from Honor Germany arrives: the brand will launch its devices with Google services. Finally some good news!
Honor Germany confirmed the information that his smartphones will come with GSM on Twitter. In response to a question about his tweet about the next smartphone with Snapdragon 778, the company made it clear that the device will bring Google services. He also confirmed that the smartphone will keep the Magic UI with some new features (not yet revealed).
The Honor 50 would be the company's first smartphone to launch with Google services since the United States imposed severe sanctions against Huawei in May 2019. Rising losses and declining growth of its smartphone business due to a lack of Google apps have forced Huawei to sell Honor to a consortium of Chinese companies.
As a new independent brand, Honor focused on restoring the partnership with Qualcomm, Intel, and many other technology companies. Google used to be one of the biggest missing pieces in the company's arsenal but that looks like it won't be a problem anymore. It is too early to say whether the company will succeed compete once again with other Chinese OEMs that have long since surpassed it in terms of growth. However, the return of Google's services is certainly welcome news for the brand and its followers.
