Xiaomi opens a new production plant in Indonesia

How much the opposite is meant the Xiaomi company is growing and this year will push the foot on the accelerator to continue doing it fluently, and so he decided to start a new smartphone production facility in Indonesia. At present, the company has already produced the good Redmi 3S that was presented a bit sordina earlier this year. The plant will produce predominantly smartphones destined for the local market, which clearly has good approvals for the Chinese brand, but it is not said can be used as a lung to meet international needs.

The production plant puts its foundations a Batam, and meanwhile Xiaomi has begun all the bureaucratic practices of the case to obtain the approval needed to sell its devices in the country.

This is the first plan of the company's international expansion after theabandonment of Hugo Barra, currently relocated to Facebook to guide the development of their VR. Speaking of this manufacturing facility, Mr. Steven Shi, current manager of Xiaomi Indonesia and South East Asia states:

We are committed to integrating local production capabilities into our smartphones and we are also trying to work closely with software developers in Indonesia to further enhance the user experience for Xiaomi Indonesian fans.

The new production plant in Indonesia was established in collaboration with various local partners, including Erajaya Swasembada, Sat Nusapersada, and TSM Technologies. And as soon as the authorization procedures for the sale of 4G terminals are completed, Xiaomi will also begin to produce the model Redmi 4A. We are just beginning but Xiaomi's goal for the plant in Indonesia is to get to a production capacity up to 1 million units per month.

Perhaps the news of the establishment of a production plant in Indonesia could be taken lightly but Xiaomi However, it is not the first smartphone maker to invest heavily in the creation of production facilities in Indonesia.

Apple has spent over $ 44 million on research and development to continue selling its iPhone in the country. Xiaomi launched its first phone, the Redmi 1S, in Indonesia in August 2014 along with several service centers across the country, and has since racked up a turnover of around $ 1 billion in the country, which has been achieved at due to regular smartphone updates and lineups.

We just have to wish the company Xiaomi good luck.
