Just a few weeks ago we advanced the assets of a new Xiaomi product belonging to the eBook reader family. While we didn't know what kind of device it was at the time, we quickly ruled out that it was a tablet. There situation on tablets of the brand is critical: everyone wants them but the company doesn't produce them. In any case, here is that Xiaomi eBook Reader Pro makes an appearance. This is an upgrade over the previous generation, with a 'attention also to design. Let's go see all the details.

His name is Xiaomi eBook Reader Pro and it is a device that reads different types of documents. Among these we find epub, pdf, txt, excel, ppt and doc. The product comes with one screen from 7.8 ″ with technology e-ink: the visibility of the writings is much better than those with simple backlight. This is not a color product of course, but the display offers one resolution of 1.872 × 1.404 pixels (300 ppi) with a gradient that arrives up to 24 color levels .
The device weighs 251 g and measure 192.1 x 138.6 x 7 mm. It is not a real featherweight but if we consider the compactness (measuring less than 10 ″) and the size of the display, we can be satisfied. Inside we find a configuration from 2 GB of RAM memory and well 32 GB of internal storage, in which we can insert thousands of files, books and documents without fear of running out of memory. The processor, for the type of device, is decidedly powerful: it is a 4-core with very low consumption and high performance, with integrated EPDC control. In terms of autonomy the battery from 3200 mAh (10W charge) allows to reach a use up to 70 days.
Two of the most important features of this device are:
- voice control and reading: you can choose a specific book through the integrated voice assistant, all without selecting it with your finger. In a very similar way to the Google browser, on the right we will find the microphone icon that will allow you to interact with the device;
- sharing papers: pass documents (whether they are epub, pdt or excel) from smartphone to Xiaomi eBook Reader Pro it has never been easier. Through the app that can be installed through a QR code, it will be possible to easily pass documents from one device to another.
