DJI Phantom 4 RTK goodbye: welcome to the SE model

Just a few days ago DJI presented the new drone M30 with a whole series of Enterprise accessories to complete it. Clearly, this won't be the only product that will arrive later this year. The latest information coming to us from China speaks of the release of a new drone called DJI Phantom 4 RTK SE. This name will seem familiar to most: in fact there is one SE too many compared to the Phantom 4 RTK model. Because? Because the latter will stop being produced.

DJI will stop production of the Phantom 4 RTK drone to give life to a new device called the Phantom 4 RTK SE. What awaits us?

According to the information he reports an important leaker in the drone sector, DJI released a press release in China. Inside the document we read that it will come discontinued production of the DJI Phantom 4 RTK to make room for a new model called Phantom 4 RTK SE. A change of specs is expected: a SE version is known to be less performances than the standard. In fact, there are changes.

The letter specifies that the Phantom 4 RTK SE drone will be "accompanied" by two changes important that will differentiate it from the basic model:

  • the charger will be missing inside the package: a choice that could be dictated by a desire to make the company greener, a bit like Apple and many others
  • the power cable will no longer be 160W but from 100w

Hopefully a drop of prices accompany these changes. The letter states that the new DJI Phantom 4 RTK SE will be available for the pre-order in April (in China). However, this could be the date that corporate retailers can pre-order and not consumers.
