The application google-recorder, exclusive to Pixel, is recognized for its audio recording and transcription function. But the big news we're talking about today came with the app update. It's about the detection of different languages among registered speakers in the process of registration. Something that to many might sound rather useless but which in reality is on the contrary an indispensable feature in times when we can't write by hand. Let's see the details.
The detection of different languages between speakers being recorded has arrived on Google Recorder, exclusively for Pixel devices
If the user has version 4.2, the first time they open the Google Recorder app they will be asked to enable the feature “Detect and label speakers“. If you select "Continue", Google shows the details of the function, which includes the calculation of "patterns of the entries found in the recording” and then the real-time assignment to each item detected of a generic label such as “Speaker1"and "Speaker2“. This way, the Google Recorder application will automatically jump to a new line in the transcript when it detects a new speaker.

There is also an option for create new names of speakers while editing the transcription. Until transcription is complete, Google temporarily stores the speech patterns on your device, after which will be permanently deleted. Data will not be uploaded to servers unless the user has enabled cloud backup.
Google Recorder v4.2 is being released on the play store, but the version it is not yet widely available. That should change with the new Android 13-based system update to be released next week. If the update does not appear on your Pixel, we can download the APK from APKMirror to experience the function immediately.
