Hugo Barra tests the Redmi Note 3 display

It's not the first time that Xiaomi's vice president, Hugo Barra, highlights the excellent qualities of Redmi Note 3 (MediaTek), although, the first time was not him personally but rather a reporter for The Economist Times | Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 proves to be the master of macros |. Nevertheless, it was possible to see the great shots that this device was able to perform, especially in the macros, capturing every single detail (considering we have to do with a medium range). This time, however, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 had to face much harder tests, as the camera was not tested but the resistance of the display!

In fact, Hugo Barra and the company's Product Manager at the Indian Society (Jai Mani) had a chance to torture this defenseless device, but in the end if it came out without any harm. Many of you will know that this device does not fit a protective glass of the famous Corning but a version designed internally by the company itself. According to the tests carried out in the research laboratories, this protective glass was subjected to Vicker Hardness Test, obtaining a DPH value equal to 649-670 kg / mm2. The reason why the value obtained varies in this range, says Barra himself, is to be found in the source of the glass used as it comes from various suppliers. However, as he will point out in the video below, Barra states that even if we consider the minimum value obtained, it is still superior to many commercially available screen protectors.

The video itself is funny but underneath it shows that this protective glass is really very resistant, especially if you consider that it will have to deal with: a coin, a bunch of keys, scissors, the tip of a dart, a handlebar. for body building, the ninebot and a car, and get out completely unscathed! With that, we leave you to watch the video and with a question: have you ever run at least one of these tests on your smartphone? Personally, no.
