MediaTek has just announced the launch of its new Dimensity 800U SoC.

Data provided by MediaTek shows that compared to the Dimensity 720, the performance of the Dimensity 800U CPU increased by 11% and the GPU performance increased by 28%.
Additionally, the chip integrates a 5G modem that supports dual-mode SA / NSA and Sub 6GHz frequency bands, as well as MediaTek 5G UltraSave, 5G + 5G dual standby, 5G dual carrier aggregation and dual VoNR.
In terms of advanced features, the Dimensity 800U supports a 120Hz refresh rate FHD + screen, HDR10 +, adopts MediaTek's custom MiraVision PQ engine, 64 megapixel cameras, and up to four cameras.
MediaTek's Deputy Director General of Wireless Communications said the Dimensity 800U brings the most advanced next-generation technologies to the Dimensity Series, including 5G technologies, camera and more.
Finally, the Dimensity 800U will be commercially available in the third quarter of 2020.
