In fact, according to the Chinese news site Tianyan Check, Zheku Technology (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. was just born with a share capital of 50 million yuan, whose legal representative is Liu Bo (the president of OPPO) and which is controlled at 100% from OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communications Co., Ltd.

The scope of the company's activities includes design, development and sales of electronic products, communication products, semiconductors; design, development, production and sale of computer software; sales of chips, semiconductor components, instrumentation, communication products, etc.

In addition, the Tianyan Check website shows us that OPPO Guangdong Mobile Communications Co., Ltd. also owns another company called Zheku Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd .. Here too the legal representative is Liu Bo and the share capital has been increased from 50 million yuan to 100 million yuan, thus a 100% capital increase.

It was recently rumored that OPPO had accelerated its in-house chip production plan. The whole could be connected to the series of events that saw the struggle between Huawei and the US administration. In the uncertainty of being able to run into some problems in the future, the brand may have decided to do everything by itself and not depend on anyone. In other words, with its own chip and all the other components that are relatively easier to obtain, OPPO can build a smartphone in complete autonomy.

In any case, previous reports had reported that Li Zonglin, the general manager of MediaTek's wireless communications division, had left the famous chip manufacturing company and would join OPPO, obviously now responsible for the smartphone chip department. But at the moment neither side has confirmed what was said.
