At the same time in which the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S receives MIUI 10 beta based on Android 9 Pie, a wagon of other Xiaomi devices have just received the MIUI 10 Stable with an OTA update.
The devices in question are twelve and include: Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, Xiaomi Mi MIX, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi 6X, Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi 5, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi Notes 5 and Redmi S2.
At the moment, there are two methods to update to the MIUI 10 (if you have the Chinese / English Stable). The first is to go into the options menu, and look for the update for your terminal. The second method instead consists in searching for the update for your device on the Xiaomi site and install it manually. Obviously we recommend the first procedure if available as it is simpler and safer.

Once the MIUI 10 is installed, what changes will we see? Well, first of all the new operating system introduces AI (artificial intelligence) into the interface, supporting full-screen gestures, permanently replacing the virtual buttons at the bottom of the screen. Now, when you are inside an app you have to swipe from the right or left edge inwards to go back, from bottom to top to go back to the home screen and the same movement but keeping it pressed longer to show all open apps .
In addition to this, the AI that arrives with the MIUI 10 will make the device much smarter, managing to predict your habits and opening applications almost instantly.
The AI assistant, at least for those who speak Chinese, will then be able to perform fairly complex actions even through only voice commands, such as changing the screen background, giving directions and buying online on different e-shops.
Finally, perhaps one of the most requested features from the photographic point is the addition of the portrait mode (blurred background) even for smartphones with a single camera, both back and front.
Personally I tested the update on an 6X Mi with Chinese / English Stable ROM and it seems to go quite well. Now tell us, who will update your smartphone?
