Exponential growth for MIUI: new record broken!

Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics giant, recently released a report which reveals the growing popularity of its proprietary interface MIUI. This interface, based on Google's Android operating system, has seen a significant increase in the number of monthly active users, exceeding the 600 million mark. It is worth mentioning that as of November 22, 2021, the number of monthly active users in the world exceeded 500 million.

MIUI is still growing: 600 million users connected to date. Beat the previous record!

This result represents a significant growth compared to previous years. As of December 2022, the platform's user base was 564 million, while in May 2023 it reached 600 million. This means an increase of 36 million users in just five months. In total, it took Xiaomi 12 years to reach this impressive milestone. MIUI's success among users can be attributed to thehigh customization of the system and extra features that aren't natively available on Android. While there are still a number of bugs and issues that will need to be fixed by the developer in the coming months, the interface appears to be complete and intuitive.

Currently, the latest version of Xiaomi's interface is MIUI 14, based on Android 13. This version offers a renewed, more customizable and fluid design, reminiscent of iOS. It also features performance improvements such as application compression seldom used and optimization of memory and storage space usage.

MIUI 14 also brings new features like the optical character recognition in the gallery, application folders on the home screen and various interactive widgets. The next version is expected to be announced by the second half of this year after Google will have launched Android 14, software that could arrive in August. Although MIUI 14 has been official for a long time, Xiaomi continues to release the system for intermediate and entry-level devices that still run the previous version.
