It has been found that the MIUI Gallery app saves photos in the cache even if they are deleted. And it does it for a long time too!
In general, the data is saved in the cache. This is a fact. Parts of the pages, such as images, are stored in the cache to speed up the opening of pages on the next visit (Google). And why should deleted images remain in memory, or rather in cache. Once deleted, there should be no trace of them left or at least not after a year. But this is what emerged from the data revealed by the user on reddit, which responds to the name of nameofthedaemon.

As reported by the user, to check if our personal data is not in the cache, just go to Android / data / com.miui.gallery / files / gallery_disk_cache / small_size e Android / data / com.miui.gallery / files / gallery_disk_cache / full_size. To overcome this hidden spoofing and unauthorized access to sensitive information, we can revoke access to the Gallery app to internal memory. But what does this entail? The inability to use the MIUI Gallery app. In fact this is a required permission for the application to work. And so? How to solve?
If you just can't handle this situation (which doesn't seem to be resolved by clearing the cache) just install a third-party Gallery app that doesn't behave the same way. The Play Store is full of them, just find the one that suits us best. In any case, we hope that this problem will reach the ears of the developers so that we can put a patch on it.
It should be noted that this problem is new for Xiaomi's MIUI but it is not entirely new for other companies. Many too OnePlus users have complained about the same problem.
