Remember how Motorola presented his wireless remote charging after poco time compared to Xiaomi? Well, we have news from Android Central that the brand is trying to bring it to its smartphones thanks to a partnership just close with GuRu. According to reports, the company has closed one partnerships with GuRuWireless, Inc., a global leader in customizable over-the-air power solutions. Let's see the details.

Motorola amazed, after Xiaomi, with remote wireless charging. It will bring this technology to devices thanks to the partnership with GuRu

La wireless remote charging this is not new. Companies have been advertising it since the late 2010s, hoping for a world where charging your device is very similar to using WiFi. Xiaomi even debuted with its first Air Chargers. Unlike WiFi, however, charging your smartphone remotely poses a whole new set of problems. At the moment, in fact, the biggest step is that of marketing of this technology due to the few regulations. But not only. As the The Washington Post in an article examining the convenience of over-the-air charging:

Companies looking to implement such over-the-air charging hubs face several challenges, the most important of which is physics. The further you are from a direct power source, the lower the charging efficiency. So even if your phone gets some power from a distance, it might not be a significant amount.

In any case, returning to Motorola, Dan Dery, the company's VP of Product, made the following comment:

At Motorola, we are constantly working to bring innovations to market that can improve the lives of our consumers. With this solution, we will provide a taste of the freedom and flexibility that users can enjoy with revolutionary over-the-air wireless power technology. With GuRu, we envision a new generation of wirelessly powered devices.

They have not emerged details sadly, but we expect Motorola to bring a better demonstration than the previous one shortly.
