Multi-account on WhatsApp? Yes, now it is possible

In the digital age, communication is constantly evolving. WhatsApp, the undisputed leader in the world of instant messaging, never ceases to surprise us. And today, we have something new that could really change the rules of the game. With the latest update released through the Google Play Beta Program, the app version has been bumped to 2.23.17.8. But what makes this version so special? The answer is simple: the multi-account function.

WhatsApp introduces the multi-account feature in its latest beta version

For the uninitiated, the multi-account feature allows users to manage multiple WhatsApp accounts within the same application. We imagine we can separate our personal conversations from our work ones, or to have an account dedicated only to our hobbies and interests, all without having to switch devices or use parallel applications.

After upgrading to the latest beta, some testers they noticed a new icon next to the QR code button. This icon, in the shape of an arrow, allows you to add a new account. Once added, the account will remain on the device until the user decides to log out. It's the best thing? It's possible switch between accounts with a simple tap, keeping notifications and conversations separate.

In an increasingly connected world, where the distinction between personal and professional life becomes increasingly blurred, having the opportunity to managing multiple accounts in one app is a real godsend. This feature not only makes life easier for users, but also demonstrates WhatsApp's commitment to responding to the ever-changing needs of its audience. Let's think about how much it will be useful on a dual SIM smartphone (devices that have now become a standard).

That said, the fact that this WhatsApp feature is in beta doesn't mean it will debut anytime soon. It may be some time before we "standard" users will also see this feature on our applications. In any case, regardless of everything, keep an eye on the Play Store and let's update the apps… you never know.
