Pavel Durov is looking for new ways to monetize Telegram. As is known, the next step after the introduction of advertising will be the appearance of a paid subscription in the messaging app also available for non-mobile devices. With its help, users will be able to access exclusive features. Specifically, the mention of Telegram Premium appeared in the beta version of the version 8.7.2 for the iOS platform, but it is not yet possible to activate the subscription.

Currently only part of the advantages offered to Telegram Premium users are known. It is known for now that they will have access to many more reactions to messages. There will also be the possibility to send animated stickers that will be reproduced in full screen by the recipient. Additionally, premium users will have a hallmark in the shape of a star next to the name. Kind of like the verified Twitter user.
It is not yet known what other benefits the Telegram Premium subscription will include. Late last year however, Pavel Durov said he was working on introducing a subscription that disables the display of advertisements.
