To give the sad news is Zhang Guoquan, head of the Xiaomi software department, who intervened in response to a comment made by a user on the social Weibo, lowering hopes on the possibility of seeing a new compact smartphone. This controversy was joined by Wang Teng Thomas, Xiaomi product manager, adding that it is increasingly difficult to design and produce high-end devices without exceeding the size limits required by the true goal of a compact smartphone.

With Xiaomi the saying never say never applies and therefore we could actually find ourselves in a month a new device belonging to the SE series, moreover the 5G development in other countries including Italy continues very slowly and therefore it could actually be a winning marketing move to propose one Xiaomi Mi 10 SE with 4G connectivity. On the other hand there is also to make the consideration that the technological development and the real biogni of the end users, have already led to the abandonment of the Max and Notea series to which the SE family could also be added.
