One of Xiaomi's partner companies, Segway-Ninebot, has just launched its latest self-balancing electric scooter for the global market. The new product is called Ninebot S MAX and is now crowdfunding on Indiegogo at a starting price of $ 849 US. This is the global version of the Ninebot Self-balancing Scooter MAX (without S) that was released in China last year.

The international version of the scooter is designed to be used as a single unit or connected to the GoKart Pro / Lamborghini kit also launched on Indiegogo last year. The new self-balancing scooter offers three modes of use: alone, with the handlebar and connected to the GoKart.
We also know that the "S" in "Ninebot S MAX" stands for sports version, it is in fact Ninebot's most powerful scooter so far. It offers a top speed of up to 20km / h and a range of 38km when used as a standalone scooter. While when connected to the Gokart, it reaches an enhanced high speed of 37 km / h while the range is reduced to 25 km.
The Ninebot S Max is significantly larger than the previous generation self-balancing scooter. It also brings support for a handlebar just like on the first original Segway scooters sold in the United States. The handlebar not only provides support, but makes it easier to ride the e-scooter. In particular it has the shape of the steering wheel of a racing car and on the top there is also a display that shows the driving speed. The handlebar height is adjustable from 1,3m up to 1,8m to suit the height of different users.
The electric scooter has a net weight of 22,8 kg and is equipped with Ninebot's Leansteer control technology. This means that the steering stick sensitivity reaches up to 0,01 seconds and can be controlled very easily. In addition, the scooter automatically maintains its balance when it detects that a person is standing, allowing you to simply get on.
Finally, the Ninebot S Max has 15 safety measures ranging from standing on the scooter to moving forward, steering, stopping the scooter and charging.
