After a rather disappointing period for Nokia which does not seem to be able to produce new devices in the last year, today we finally get some good news straight from Finland. The company is in fact planning a new series of devices, the first of which will be launched as the Nokia G10.
Nokia G10 will be the first smartphone of the new "G" series
According to leakster NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia G10 will be the first of a new line, the G series from Nokia. Furthermore, the source claims that Nokia's smartphone with model number TA-1334 is the Nokia G10.
As for specs, the smartphone is expected to adopt a 6,4-inch screen, octa-core processor, and a 48MP quad-camera setup on the rear. The device is said to share many of its specifications with the Nokia 5.4, but we still expect some substantial differences.
In any case, we still don't know when the smartphone will be launched, but given that the device has been certified in Thailand and by TÜV Rheinland, this shouldn't be long in coming.
In addition to what has just been reported, it is from poco news leaked that HMD Global will adopt a new naming scheme this year. The info comes from the Nokibar Twitter account (@baidunokibar), which revealed in a tweet that HMD Global will abandon the “dot” naming style it has used since it began manufacturing Nokia smartphones.
So we should finally say goodbye to that slightly confusing naming scheme and see new devices like the Nokia G10 mentioned above with a much more classic denomination.
