As some of you will know, OnePlus smartphones come with an app called "Engineering Mode", which is used for troubleshooting and testing some components and features. Well, it would seem that within the app's source code in the beta version of Android 11, XDA-Developers has found some interesting things about future OnePlus devices.
OnePlus 8T: Leak reveals charging power and new coloring
First of all, the app mentions something about a Super Warp Charge fast charging solution that pushes a maximum power of 65W. This could mean that the OnePlus 8T series will equip the new charging technology. This is hardly a surprise given that the company shares several technologies with Oppo and Realme and we have already seen 65W charging technology in the form of SuperVOOC 2.0 on Oppo and SuperDart phones that charge on Realme devices. So it was only a matter of time before this also arrived on smartphones produced by OnePlus.
But it doesn't end there. According to another code string, there will also be a version in the Ice Blue coloring. At the moment, those belonging to the OnePlus 8 family include Onyx Black, Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow and Ultramarine Blue, so the Ice Blue coloring has never been seen.
In any case, this leak suggests that the new color will be available on both incoming flagships; i.e. both OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro.
