Oppo A60 launched in Vietnam: economical device with 45W charging

The new Oppo A60 was officially unveiled in Vietnam, marking the latest update to the A series of Oppo. Although the name may suggest a direct successor to theA59 5G, the A60 does not support 5G, positioning itself rather as the successor to the A58 4G launched in July 2023.

The new Oppo A60 sports a modern and refined design, with a 6.67 LCD display that offers a resolution of 720 × 1604 pixels and 90 Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness of 950 nits and the sampling rate of 240 Hz promise a bright and smooth viewing experience.

Under the hood, the A60 is powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC chipset, combined with 8GB RAM. Users can choose between two UFS 2.2 storage options: 128GB or 256GB, ensuring enough space for apps and media.

As for photography, the A60 is equipped with one main camera from 50 MP, flanked by one 2 MP camera and selfie camera from 8 MP, therefore the bare minimum for a good photographic experience.

The smartphone arrives with one battery by 5,000 mAh supports the quick charging 45W Super VOOC, allowing users to quickly charge their device and stay connected all day.

Despite the absence of 5G, the A60 includes one headphone jack from 3.5 mm and turn up Android 14 with the user interface ColorOS 14.0.1. This operating system promises an intuitive and customizable user experience.

With its dimensions of 165.71 x 76.02 x 7.68 mm and a weight of 186g, the A60 is a handy and lightweight device. In Vietnam, the price for the 128GB version is VND 5,490,000 (approx 200 euro at the exchange rate), while the 256GB version costs VND 6,490,000 (around 240 euros). It is expected that prices may vary in different international markets.

So the Oppo A60 represents a solid option for those looking for a reliable, high-performance device without the need for 5G. Now we just have to wait to find out if the device will also be launched in our country and at what price.
