At the end of last year, during theOppo Anthem Day 20219 the brand presented several products that would arrive, from there to poco, all over the world. These include a router, the proprietary processor, objects dedicated to home automation and Oppo AR Glass glasses. The latter aroused a lot of interest in that period as they are the company's first augmented reality glasses. From that moment nothing has been known, at least until today. In fact it seems that this product has been certified by EUIPO, the body responsible for giving the green light to several tech products that need to arrive in Europe. Let's see the certification in detail.
Oppo AR Glass glasses for augmented reality have been certified by EUIPO: this means that the arrival in Europe is very close
Before seeing the EUIPO certification, let's briefly recall what product it is. According to the company, the glasses Oppo AR Glass can achieve a three-dimensional reproduction of the surrounding environment and are equipped with 3D surround sound, using diffractive optical waveguide technology to obtain a high transmittance. It is possible to use multimodal interactions such as gestures and speech recognition. In terms of software, Oppo glasses come with various AR content, games and services. The brand claims that AR glasses are thinner and lighter than Hololens but did not disclose further information about the device.
Now let's go see the document.
The application is still pending and was submitted in Spain as the first country. The presentation date is last September 3, three days ago. The fact that this certification appeared on the EUIPO portal basically means that the launch is expected in Europe, perhaps before China. Ultimately the brand following Oppo watch intends to launch a new, very high-end product: certainly there will be no cheaper variants of these glasses for augmented reality. What do you think? What price can this product have?
