After having anticipated it at the presentation of the Reno5 series a week ago, the Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has just officially launched the new OPPO Reno5 Pro + 5G; let's go find out more!
OPPO Reno5 Pro + official 5G with Sony IMX766 sensor and Snapdragon 865
The OPPO Reno5 Pro + 5G has photography as its strong point thanks to the brand new Sony IMX766 sensor that we find on board the device. This sensor was developed in a collaboration between OPPO and Sony and at least on paper its specs look great. In fact, according to OPPO, the new sensor is able to absorb 63,8% more light than the IMX586 sensor. This results in brighter, clearer photos and videos. The sensor also has larger 1.0μm pixels and a size of approximately 1 / 1.56 inches.
In addition to the 50MP main camera, the smartphone is equipped with three other sensors on the back. These include a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens (with a 5x hybrid zoom) and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies we find instead a single 32MP sensor inside a hole on the display.
The aforementioned display has a size of 6,5 inches, Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro + 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device also integrates a 4.500 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 65 W.
Finally, as regards the price, the smartphone has a starting price of 3999 Yuan, about 500 euros, for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Sales will start on December 29, 2020.
