As usual, a huge thank you to the team of LetsGoDigital which transforms patents into real ones concept coloured. Between foldable smartphones and devices with cameras under the display, Oppo he's getting busy. It is no coincidence that together with Xiaomi it is among the first companies to file patents every year. What we are going to see today has something truly revolutionary: mixes the concept of slider phone with that of rollable and removable glass. Thus was born the patent presented to the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) in April but only released today. Let's go see the details.
Oppo patents a smartphone halfway between a Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and a device with a removable screen: imagination has no boundaries
In its initial form, the most compact one, the device looks like a square almost completely made of glass. In the image below we can see the various steps of "transformation"Of the Oppo device: on the left there is its first level, when closed, and as we go to the right we see how the sliding mechanism combined with a (presumably) rollable glass, allow the display to stretch to the maximum level (last image on the right). In its first step, the smartphone is small enough to fit in your pocket, but from fully open it becomes far too big.
To allow the display to stretch one zipper slider which vaguely but very vaguely recalls that of Mi MIX 3. Unlike this device, however, the Oppo device is equipped with a fully mobile shell. In Xiaomi's smartphone only one part, the front one, moves with respect to the body. Although there is no information about it yet, we can imagine that the photographic sensor will be the one integrated under the display: this will be the trend for next year, by the way. No doubt during the next Inno Day 2020 the brand will be able to give us some news about. But how is this smartphone made behind?
the brand he hasn't opted for cameras in quantity, rather. A single rear sensor in the last part of the body, dedicated exclusively to that task. From behind you understand the dimensions of the device well: when closed it is half that open.
How about? From behind it vaguely resembles a Nokia 6111?
