Why prefer the Xiaomi Mi Bands 1S compared to the competition

As you surely know, Xiaomi yesterday officially presented the new Mi Band 1S | Presented Xiaomi Mi Band 1S with Heart Rate Sensor |. Considering that it is a smartband with a cost of just 15 euros (the first valid reason to prefer it to the competition), its purchase may seem obvious for many but in this article we want to show you what are the key points of the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S concept (but also of the original model) compared to the competition.

First, it is good to point out that the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S is a smartband and not a smartwatch. Starting from this assumption, the absence of any type of display can be seen both positively (greater autonomy, minor distractions during the workouts) than negatively. However, we believe that minimizing the energy consumption of such a product is a greater priority than using a display (which would also have led to an increase in cost). Where competition can offer maximum 5 - 7 days of autonomy, the Xiaomi MI Band 1S arrives up to 30.

Another point in favor of Xiaomi Mi Band 1S is the ability to be used indifferently from Android smartphones and iOS smartphones. In this way, the catchment area able to use it is greatly increased. To conclude, the heartbeat sensor, a true novelty of this year's model, allows us to have a control of our heart that, although it can not be precise such as the cardio bands, gives us a valid indication with a really minimal margin of error.
