Poco C55 officially anticipated: it will be a rebrand of the Redmi 12C

The entry-level C series of Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco prepares to welcome the newest member, the Poco C55. The official account of Poco India has in fact just begun to anticipate the new device.

Poco C55 officially anticipated: it will be a rebrand of the Redmi 12C

The new promotional video has to do with the design of the back of the new phone, the Poco C55 will have a faux leather (vegan) look with a faux seam running vertically down the middle. This was also confirmed by an image from leakster Yogesh Brar which shows the design more clearly.

For the rest, the next Xiaomi Poco C55 seems to adopt a huge black camera module on the back, which integrates a fingerprint recognition sensor. Also within the camera module we find a dual camera system on the left side and a large logo Poco To the right. There is also an LED flash and another circle that says “AI”.

For those who haven't already noticed, the camera module is similar to what we find on the Redmi 12C presented in China last December. So it is highly probable that the Poco C55 is a rebrand of the Chinese version of the device and nothing new.

This means that the other specifications should include a 6,71-inch diagonal LCD-type screen with a resolution of 720×1650. The smartphone will then be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

For photos, we should find a 50 MP rear main camera and an 8 MP depth sensor, while the front camera will have a resolution of 5 MP. Finally, the POCO C55 is expected to come with a 5000mAh battery and 10W charging.

In general, compared to Poco C50, the Poco C55 will have a bigger display, a better chip, more RAM and storage, and a main camera with more megapixels.
