Poco, the independent brand of Xiaomi which focuses entirely on the performance / price ratio, is preparing to launch its new 5G smartphone, the Poco M6 Pro, India this Saturday 5th August. The device has already leaked online with some official renders showing its green and black design, and a teaser poster revealing some of its key features.

Il Poco The M6 Pro looks like a medium-low range model with an exclusive design, especially in the rear where we find a rectangular camera module with a decorative panel that surrounds it.
According to rumors, the M6 Pro will have a 6,8 LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a latest generation 5G platform that promises high performance and low consumption, as well as a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Up to here the Poco M6 Pro is identical to the Redmi 12 5G, while the main difference between the two devices should concern the photographic sector. The Poco M6 Pro should in fact maintain the 50 MP main camera of the Redmi 12 5G, but replace the other three rear cameras (8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP depth and laser rangefinder) with one 2 MP macro camera only. Furthermore, the front camera should be 16 MP instead of 8 MP.
As for the other features, the Poco M6 Pro should offer a headphone jack from 3,5 mm, an IR emitter, a side fingerprint scanner, 64 or 128 GB internal memory expandable via microSD and 4 or 6 GB RAM. The operating system will be Android 13 with MIUI interface for Poco.
The price and availability of the new device POCO in India will be announced during the launch event on Saturday. It is assumed that the device will also arrive in other international markets in the coming months.
