We had anticipated it a few days ago the launch of one Laser TV by Xiaomi, without even knowing what exactly it would be. And now, at the annual Xiaomi conference, the product was finally unveiled: one projector which guarantees perfect reproduction of the images up to 150 inches!!! But let's find out in detail.
As expressed by the co-founder of Xiaomi, Liu De, we tried to make quality accessible to a wider audience. In fact, just look at the prices of a commune laser projector on the web to figure out that you will not spend a figure below the 13.000 euro.
So let's get right now price of this new interesting product launched by Xiaomi: 9999 yuan (approximately EUR 1300 at the exchange rate). Yes, that is true, it may seem so much, but it is to be compared - as we have said - with the other products on the market and here is the benefit of Xiaomi.
By going to the product specifications, however, we see how the company has left nothing to chance, trying to drastically reduce the dimensions of the device through the implementation of new technologies such as a 0.233 field depth ratio: 1 and an extremely short focus. What does it mean? It means that even in fairly short stature, you can reach very large dimensions without the image losing quality!
Obviously, the cinematic experience of a 150 screen "will be extremely different from what can be experienced with 70 TV" (absurd numbers!) As it has tried to make Xiaomi understand by showing a comparison between the different diagonals of his Mi TV and the new screen projected by We Projector.
Image quality, but not only because Xiaomi promises that the product just presented will be guaranteed for you 25.000 hours, about a 2 movie hours a day for 34 years!

Given that 150 is an empty wall, this is where the donkey is, but Xiaomi has pointed out that the technologies implemented have not really overlooked any multimedia aspect. From Light Peak Opto Electronics, light and brightness management system that can be found on the 90% of laser projectors installed in our cinemas, up to close partnerships with APPTRONICS e Texas Instruments, which allow the We Projector to ensure exceptional playback quality, given the experience these two companies have in terms of light sources and image chip management.
As you can see from the pictures, the difference between a laser projector and a traditional projector is abysmal!
Before we say goodbye, however, the new Xiaomi product, as always in conjunction with Mijia, deserves to receive further clarification: first of all We Projector it will see inside it implemented all the functions of the We TV, so that through a Wi-Fi connection you can stream all the best movies of the moment ... a bit like in the movies!
But obviously from a good movie that respects even the audio sector is not to be underestimated, but it is quite respect! THE four loudspeakers placed on the back of the device (full frequency + high frequency) and strongly wanted by the Mi TV development team, are realized in collaboration with Dolby and DTS so that the sound experience is really as close to that of a cinema!
As mentioned, Xiaomi aims to bring the theatrical and cinematic experience closer to the homes of its fans and does so in order to have an eye for the little ones: it has been established that, unlike the LED screens, the reproduction on the house wall weighs much less the eyes.
We conclude the introduction of this great and innovative product by Xiaomi (and Mijia), pointing out that it will be available in pre-sale, on the app I only for Chinese users, starting with next 4 July.
