ZTE's sub-brand dedicated to gaming, Red Magic, has just officially announced that the next Red Magic 6 series will be presented on March 4th.
Red Magic 6 Pro coming March 4th with 120W recharge and 4500mAh battery
Gaming phones will include new features including an improved cooling fan and according to Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, the Pro version will support 120W fast charging.
So one of the most powerful ever seen on a smartphone and that according to the brand will be able to recharge the integrated 4500mAh battery up to 50% in just 5 minutes.
In comparison, the Mi 10 Ultra which supports 120W fast charging is capable of recharging the battery from 4500mAh to 41% in 5 minutes. The iQOO 5 Pro with 120W fast charging support, takes 5 minutes to recharge the battery to 50%, but it's battery is smaller at 4000mAh.
This means that on paper, Red Magic's fast top-up would actually be the fastest at charging the smartphone from zero to 50%. But as always, it is better to wait for real tests before celebrating.
In any case, the brand will include a 120W GaN fast charger in the box, so it will be possible to test the charging speed immediately after purchase.
Now we just have to wait until March 4th for official confirmation. Recall that smartphones should adopt a display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz tactile sampling rate, Snapdragon 888 processor and 66W fast charging for the non-Pro version.
